Starting July 11th accepting session proposals for this year’s event! We invite submissions for General Education, Panel Discussions, and Student-Led Sessions for the 2025 Region VI Conference in Burlingame, California.
Please note that by submitting a proposal, you agree to present on whichever day your session is scheduled if accepted.
Before you submit a proposal, please note these requirements to speak at a NIRSA event:
Presenting at NIRSA Events is a benefit of membership, therefore all speakers are required to hold NIRSA membership. You may submit a proposal if you are not an active member, but if a speaker of an accepted proposal does not hold membership at the time of acceptance, they must obtain a membership status before the date of the event.
All presenters must register for the conference.
What We’re Looking For in General Sessions:
Sessions with a well-defined topic and learning outcomes
Relevant, applicable content that reflect the diversity of experiences, roles, and innovation within our respective campuses
Thoughtful facilitation and opportunities for engagement
What We’re Looking in Student Track Sessions:
Sessions with a well-defined topic and learning outcomes
Presenters who can lead engaging sessions in navigating challenges as a student leader, time management and personal growth as a leader, and toolkits for success as a student leader
Submission Types:
General Education Sessions – Informative presentations on a focused topic
Panel Discussions – Multi-perspective conversations moderated by a facilitator
Roundtable Discussions – Interactive discussion focused on sharing experiences, challenges, and strategies related to key topics within campus recreation
Student-Led Sessions – Sessions designed and presented by students or intended for student audience
When submitting your proposal, please include:
A clear session title and description
Identified target audience (e.g., directors, early career professionals, small colleges, etc.)
Session format and learning objectives
Submit your proposal by July 31, 2025 in ordered to be considered to present at this year’s conference.
